Worthington Wonderland returns with holiday treats and activities for everyone

As part of the festivities, local businesses and organizations will host holiday-themed events with lively activities, treats and entertainment. This year, Worthington Wonderland will feature 14 different stops in town, from Ace Hardware and Johnson Builders & Realty, to The Daily Apple and Threads & Decor.

“It’s just a great way for everyone to see what our community has to offer,” said Jennifer Solt, owner of Threads & Decor. “It’s fun and free for everyone who gets into the holiday spirit. “

This is the second year that Threads & Décor has participated in the Worthington Wonderland event. The consignment store will host several Christmas characters who will be available to take pictures, as well as a free DIY activity. Children who enter the store will have the opportunity to make their own foam ornaments. Threads & Décor will also serve up treats as part of the event and host a Worthington Wonderland sale.

“Worthington Wonderland has been very popular since its inception,” said Roberta Fultz, member of the Worthington Retail Committee. Worthington Wonderland started in 2019, and Fultz said it’s a great way to put the community in the holiday spirit.

“This year fewer people are able to participate simply due to the time commitment and the pressure small businesses are under,” Fultz commented, “but we’re excited to be able to bring back a fun and free event for our community! ”

The Globe Publicity Manager Fultz also said Worthington Wonderland attendees can have their photo taken with a vacation-themed front-page photo booth at the Globe office, 300 11th St., from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

Santa will be available for photos at The Stag Clothiers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For the Worthington Wonderland event, kids can also come color their own ornaments and work on other crafts inside the store.

“It should be a lot of fun,” said Robyn Moser, owner of The Stag. “We have four or five different craft projects for all the kids to choose from… and everyone loves to have their picture taken with Santa, so make sure you enjoy it! “

If shoppers miss Santa at this week’s Worthington Wonderland event, don’t worry, as the jolly man will be back at the Stag every Saturday until December 18 for photos.
