Vice President Venkaiah Naidu Praises TTD’s Dharmic Activities

Tirumala: On Thursday, Indian Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu along with his family and entourage offered prayers to Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala Temple.

The Vice President reached the temple through Vaikuntam queuing complex and was greeted by TTD President YV Subba Reddy, EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy and additional EO AV Dharma Reddy near Mahadwaram (main entrance). After darshan, it was rendered Vedaseervachanam by experts from Ranganayakula Mandapam. Later the President and EO of TTD presented the dignitary with thirtha prasadams, calendar, diary and coffee table book on Tirumala.

While introducing the deity’s laminated photo, agarbattis made from dried flower technology, panchagavya products and the six-leaf calendar, the EO briefed the vice president on their preparation and significance.

TTD first started the production of flower-based agarbathis (incense sticks) and later decorative items made from used flowers collected from its temples in Tirupati. Recently, he started selling Panchagavya (cow-based) products for sale to devotees.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice President said that he prayed to Sri Venkateswara Swamy to bestow his benign blessings on mankind across the world. He also commended TTD for taking new initiatives and advancing the Hindu Dharma Prachara tremendously through various spiritual programs. He said he also asked Srivaru to bless his granddaughter with a happy married life.

The wedding of Venkaiah’s granddaughter took place at a Mutt in Tirumala on Thursday, which he, his family and loved ones attended. Chennai LAC Chairman (Local Advisory Committee), Sekhar Reddy, New Delhi LAC Chairman V Prasanthi, CVSO Gopinath Jatti, Temple DyEOi Ramesh Babu and others were present.
