V Rising Halloween event brings spooky mayhem next week

The V rising The Halloween event was only a matter of time, really. I mean, if any game were to get a Halloween update, it would be V rising, right? Anyway, the V rising The Halloween event adds free downloadable content to build with, a free play weekend during Halloween, and an update on October 24 that will add a fun server preset by the name of Mad Hunt. It’s a pretty hefty event, but given the game’s popularity, Stunlock Studios can (and certainly should) continue to support it.

For starters, the free to play weekend will allow you to play with your non-V rising own friends from October 28 to November 1 (and, in effect, allow you to play the game if you don’t own it). V rising will also be available on GeForce Now on October 27, so if you like streaming your games, you have that option too.

The Haunted Nights Castle Pack The free DLC will be available until November 7, so if you want to make your castle even spookier, you should get it while you can. The DLC includes wall decorations, gourd lanterns, stained glass, rugs, and other Halloween goodies that will help make your decor better match the season.

New V rising Free DLC will let you bring out your spooky side.

Last but not least is the Halloween update, which will be released on October 24. It will add the Mad Hunt server preset, which will randomize V Blood locations, V Blood spell unlocks, and V Blood techs across the map. There are limits in place to ensure progression is not too difficult or otherwise impossible. Otherwise, it’s a free-for-all game that can lead to some funny and weird situations, so check it out if you don’t mind a bit of chaos with your vampirism.

If you’re the type of player who wants to randomize certain locations and not others, Mad Hunt will also allow you to customize which randomizations you want to use and which you don’t. There will also be some balance tweaks to spells and weapons and some tweaks “to support a healthier late-game castle raiding environment,” according to the developers. These include reduced raid times, which will hopefully make it easier to defend your territory. Be sure to check out the full V rising Halloween event announcement here for the lowdown.
