About Jo Mersa Marley
Joseph “Jo Mersa” Marley is the son of Stephen Marley and grandson of musical legend Bob Marley. From the young age of four, Jo Mersa appeared on stage with his father, where his passion for performing began to blossom. Sharing the stage with her uncle Ziggy and aunts Cedella and Sharon (aka Ziggy Marley and The Melody Makers) and their children as part of the group’s concert finals, Jo often took the mic to sing the lyrics to the greatest songs of the Melody Makers. . Born in Kingston, Jamaica on March 12, 1991, Jo moved to Miami at the age of 11 where he closely observed his father and uncle, Damian, creating music in the studio at Stephen’s Lion’s Den.
