Here are 7 events to discover this weekend in Rochester

Night market

Saturday, September 18, 5 to 9 p.m., Mayo Civic Center Plaza & Rochester Art Center

It’s your last chance this summer to experience the Night Market, a new series of events featuring food, games, arts and handmade goods – with a strong focus on Asian vendors and BIPOC . The event is an brainchild of Tiffany Alexandria of CHOO-CHOO-ca-CHEW, whose mission was to bring a staple from her native Taiwan to Med City.

Fodder festival

Saturday, September 18, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Brasserie Forager

This annual festival of music, art, beer and food is one of the most anticipated days of the year among craft beer enthusiasts – with people lining up for miles for the exit of limited time beers. The free event also includes a full day of live music and local vendors and artisans.

Free to attend. More information here.

Saturday, September 18, 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., Thesis Beer Project

Across town, another local brewery is planning a full day of music. This all-new event, organized in partnership with Winona-based production studio Treedome, will feature seven different acts, including Vial, Faith Boblett, the Shackletons, Local Sports, and more.

Free to attend. More information here.

Editor’s Note: Some events strongly encourage mask wear, especially in crowded places. Check with the event organizer if you have any additional questions about Covid-19 protocols.
