SOLOMONS, Md. – The Green Life Festival & Market, Southern Maryland’s premier sustainability event, will be held on Saturday June 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center (13470 Dowell Road, Solomons, MD). Organized by the Calvert County Citizens Green Team, the free community event will be a day of hands-on learning, play and discovery. All ages will enjoy engaging with people, products and information about a sustainable and healthy lifestyle.

More than 45 vendors, exhibitors and artisans will offer eco-friendly products and provide information on programs and services. Get valuable insight into solar power systems, recycling, conservation, gardening, healthy living and more. Presentations and demonstrations throughout the day will share the many ways plants, air, water, soil and energy support our homes, our health and our planet. Vendors will share information and offer activities and freebies.

Attendees can get savvy at the Outdoor ArtLAB, where you’ll recycle old t-shirts into reusable, seamless bags and tote bags. Children can have a picnic to make in the park. Meet Hester, the traveling naturalist, who has ‘tips and tricks for a greener garden’. Discover easy ways to make your garden eco-friendly and pollinator-friendly with composting demonstrations, rainwater harvesting and more. Bring home a plant to add to your garden or windowsill.

The festival will feature local dishes from Real Food Studio and Spider Hall Farm, as well as local entertainment. Tickets will be returned at the reception table for door prizes which will be awarded throughout the day. Shop local and buy from a variety of green vendors for freebies and ideas. Explore the whimsy and charm of the Annmarie Garden by visiting the Nature Nook indoor exhibit, the Fairies in the Garden exhibit of hidden fairy houses, and new Calvert Birding Trail activities!

Reservations or tickets are not required, come and enjoy the day! Masks are not required, but are encouraged.
