What are Magnolia Press fans saying?

Magnolia Market at the Silos is the retail space that Chip and Joanna turned into a hot spot in Waco. Having two tall silos as a landmark, the couple built a lovely space around them to entertain guests on a daily basis. Magnolia Press is one block from this location, but that’s part of a bigger picture and vision. The cafe recently celebrated its two year anniversary since opening.

“Two years of Magnolia Press! Head over to our stories to see how we’re celebrating our local cafe this weekend and how you can have fun, ”one read in an Instagram post from the cafe.

Fans who were fortunate enough to visit the facility took advantage of the comments to share what they love about the place.

“We went there two mornings, we were in town! Love the atmosphere and the coffee was amazing! I took some memories! said a fan.

“It’s so delicious! Love your egg bites and your coffee! I had them just before going on stage to sing at Silobration, thank you for your magical place! an added follower.

“I love the nostalgia behind the typefaces in the signage. Anything that gives that 1930s-40s vibe, I love it. And coffee too. Apparently I need a road trip to Texas, ”one Instagram user commented.

“We spent our afternoon there today. Such a relaxing place and the Lattes were delicious too, ”said another fan.

“Such a cute place and amazing coffee !!” another subscriber answered.

“One of my favorite places in magnolia,” said another Instagram user.

What is the story behind Magnolia Press?

Prior to the opening of Magnolia Press, Joanna wrote a blog detailing what made her and her team think about opening a cafe.

“Coffee has a way of melting me – this morning mug is a simple reminder to celebrate the new day, and then there’s the occasional afternoon mug that serves as a pick-me-up and gives me something to look forward to with it. impatience “, she wrote.

Joanna explained that she enjoyed holding a cup of coffee and going shopping. For the design of the venue, Joanna said that “each cafe seems to create its own magical and comfortable world full of personality,” and that’s what she wanted to recreate for Magnolia Press.

“I want the style of the space to be symbolic of the past and for guests to feel a sense of history and familiarity, almost like stepping into a place they’ve been before,” she added. “The store will have long, library-style tables for community seating.”

Joanna also noted that she incorporated darker wood tones, rich, deep paint hues, and leather seats that were reminiscent of classic bookcases.
