Celebrate a nostalgic Raya | The star

KUALA LUMPUR: Relieve the nostalgic charm of Raya Melodies at Fahrenheit88 by May 16.

In partnership with the National Archives of Malaysia, Fahrenheit88’s Raya Celebrations features a golden ambiance of yesteryear against the backdrop of traditional kampung huts, with an exquisite showcase of heritage and tradition inspired by the life and work of icons of the Malaysian scene Tan Sri P. Ramlee and Puan Sri Saloma.

As a tribute to Tan Sri P. Ramlee and Puan Sri Saloma, the P. Ramlee gallery on level 2 presents the exhibition P. Ramlee dan Saloma – Aku, Dia dan Lagu. Here, fans will have the chance to watch clips from their movies, browse old movie posters and soak up a rare display of personal artifacts from the two icons, including clothes made famous in their movies and performance.

Get in the Raya mood at the Raya Craft Market at the Ground Atrium where Fahrenheit88 partners with Kraftangan Malaysia to showcase unique Raya souvenirs and a comprehensive collection of gift ideas including craft merchandise, party wear, handmade accessories and jewelry. Here, shoppers can also try their hand at a game or two of traditional congkak or take Instagram-worthy photos with traditional props.

Throughout the celebrations, shoppers can attend street performances and a series of workshops such as coloring batik, coloring ceramics, making wire keychains, making manik accessories and the creation of unbaked Raya cookies.

During Ramadan, Fahrenheit88 also offers amazing buka puasa parties in Al-Amar and Koryo Won. Shoppers can experience more of the festive warmth and cheerfulness of this Raya season with a range of retail offers and special promotions at Brands Outlet, Daiso, Emrusa, Feith, Kronoz, MR DIY and Uniqlo.

To thank shoppers, Fahrenheit88 is thrilled to return the love with Raya Rewards from now until May 16. Buyers who spend a minimum of RM280 in one receipt are eligible to redeem a special edition P. Ramlee Medallion Gold Coin. A Ketupat Dip awaits shoppers, offering them a chance to win a voucher.

As a special treat for tourists, the first 200 guests staying at Fahrenheit Suites and CHAOS Hotel can redeem a tourist voucher. Redemptions can be made at the concierge desk on the ground floor and are limited to two redemptions per buyer per day, while supplies last.
